ART COURIER
Did you know that your art is most vulnerable and at risk during travel and installation? We can minimize this risk by traveling with your artwork overseeing its safe arrival and installation.
BACKING SUPPORT
Backing supports are a simple yet invaluable technique for protecting your art against degradation over time. These custom-made supports minimize air migration and provide an inert, acid-free barrier. This physical contact fills the gaps in the painting stretcher and prevents cracking of the paint. The physical barrier also protects against accidental puncture and reduces vibrations during handling and transport.
PEST & MOLD MITIGATION
When artworks suffer from exposure to infestation specialized handling is required. An anoxic treatment is an efficient and safe method to eradicate mold and pest infestations. By putting the artwork in an airtight environment and abstracting the oxygen, pests are unable to survive. The oxygen level is brought below 0.032% for several weeks to ensure insects at every stage of the life cycle are exterminated. After treatment, the inactive pest can be cleaned from the artwork.
INSTALLATION
Our conservators are uniquely trained and experienced in navigating the difficulties posed by the safe handling and installation of large, oversized paintings. We offer safe handling, packing, rolling and re-stretching of the painting.
